About Bridget

Bridget Crouch is a performer and teacher whose work reflects a deep engagement with music, both in performance and in teaching.

Bridget completed her performance degree at the Royal Academy of Music in London, graduating with honours. She undertook a teaching apprenticeship with Sheila Nelson and later completed her Master’s degree in Cologne, studying chamber music with the Amadeus Quartet. She also pursued baroque studies with Cat Mackintosh and Ingrid Seifert.

Her performing career has included work with the Academy of St Martin-in-the-Fields, the London Sinfonietta and the Royal Shakespeare Company Music Ensemble, as well as guest principal work with the Royal Ballet Orchestra. She has performed on major film soundtracks including Star Wars and Amadeus.

Bridget has taught extensively, including 15 years at the Royal College of Music Junior Department and 14 years at the Queensland Conservatorium. She continues to adjudicate, teach and present workshops internationally. Her work is grounded in a belief that performance is both a technical and deeply human act of communication.
